He originally studied Philosophy and Psychology at his home town University of Liverpool. Before becoming a counsellor, he worked for many years in community media production and broadcasting.
He also taught photography in adult education and video production for people with special needs. He was a volunteer for the Samaritans for a number of years, which eventually led towards seeking a professional qualification in counselling at Iron Mill.

The important philosophical questions about meaning, truth and how to live a good life, remain central to Robin's life and work and he has explored mindfulness and transformational practices from many traditions. His qualifications include a Teaching Certificate and Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling.
Qualifications: BA (Hons), Adv Dip, City & Guilds Further and Adult Teaching Cert., Reg. MBACP (Accred.).
