Karen is the Service Manager for Iron Mill's busy counselling service in Exeter and is currently developing the service to extend to Poole.; she also works in private practice as a counsellor.

Karen is a qualified integrative counsellor; initially completing an Advanced Diploma in Transpersonal Psychotherapy in London 20 years ago. Further training in somatic therapy led to her working with end-of-life counselling and with individuals affected by long-term health conditions and chronic pain. She is now developing a particular interest in working with individuals who have experienced complex trauma.
As well as her professional work as a counsellor, Karen has worked for many years managing therapeutic and wellbeing services and has enjoyed working across a variety of organisations, from community counselling services, NHS trusts and third-sector organisations, such as Terrence Higgins Trust, Diabetes UK, Cruse Bereavement Care and Save the Children.

Having recently moved to Devon, Karen is making the most of outdoor life, enjoying time with her family and dogs, and developing her private practice.

Qualifications: Adv Dip Transpersonal Psychotherapy; Adv Dip Integrative Counselling; Prof Cert Complex Trauma; MBACP.
