Prior to joining college, Tony successfully held prominent roles within the healthcare sector, including dental, occupational health and acute hospitals where he gained a reputation as a compassionate and capable leader. Leading a private hospital through the pandemic was an extremely challenging and rewarding experience but it cemented Tony’s purpose and desire to help and support staff and colleagues to deliver best in quality services to those who need help. For the last two years, Tony has had his own consultancy and coaching business supporting other organisations as an associate coach, developing leaders and teams to perform at the highest levels.
Tony’s leadership philosophy revolves around the belief that education should be a transformative and empowering experience for every student. He is dedicated to creating a supportive and nurturing environment where individuals can explore their potential, overcome challenges, and emerge as confident and capable professionals.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Tony is married to Sally and has three children, Alex, Georgia and Ellie. He is a passionate sports fan and regularly goes to watch Bath and England play rugby, enjoys travelling the Cornish and Devon counties, fine dining, farmers’ markets and city breaks in Europe. In addition, Tony also volunteers as a mentor for students and graduates at The University of Gloucestershire, helping with employability skills and business start-up.
