Amanda Murrell | Academic Administration Manager
Amanda joined the Iron Mill College team in 2016 and led the College Administration Team for six years. In May 2024 she took on the new role of Academic Administration Manager, with a focus on quality assurance, validation/accreditation compliance and resources for teaching.
Before joining Iron Mill College, Amanda worked as a primary school teacher. She has previously worked as a housing manager, tenant advice worker and university administrator in London, East Anglia and Devon.
Qualifications: PG Dip Housing Administration, PG Cert Education, BA (Hons) Philosophy and Adv Dip in Local History.
An enthusiastic local historian, when not at Iron Mill, Amanda volunteers in the archives at South West Heritage. She also volunteers teaching adult literacy for a national charity, and in her spare time enjoys reading, crafting and walking between the woods and the water with Margot, her cocker spaniel.
