This experiential workshop invites therapists to engage with movement, archetypes and reflection, gaining awareness of their inner tendencies and archetypal energies. Participants will explore the therapeutic potential of movement and dance for transformation.
The day will blend individual, pair, and group exercises, with ample opportunities for reflection and sharing with colleagues. By embodying some archetypes and moving with them as separate entities, participants will gain insights into how these universal patterns influence their identities and those of their clients.
By the end of the workshop, participants are expected to gain a fresh perspective on collective archetypes, empowering them to develop their own unique ways of incorporating this knowledge into their therapeutic practice.
This workshop is especially designed for counsellors and psychotherapists interested in understanding archetypes and their impact on our lives, while also developing skills to work with and heal these powerful, and often disturbing, energies.
Caution: Working somatically can surface unresolved traumatic material. If you have experienced significant trauma in your childhood that remains unprocessed, please feel free to contact me before the event to discuss whether this workshop is appropriate for you.

From her early days working with survivors of torture in Dublin, Alda's passion for movement inspired her to incorporate it into her therapeutic work, helping clients to allow their bodies to tell their stories in a safe environment. Her experience working with early, ancestral, and collective trauma has deepened her understanding of archetypal energies within the therapy room.
Currently, Alda runs a busy private practice as an energy psychotherapist and facilitates therapeutic dance groups in Exeter.
“I love Alda’s Dance Your Life workshops. She holds the space very gently and takes us on a journey through a theme with just enough guidance to inspire. I enjoy having an invitation that I can interpret and own myself. Every time I dance with Alda, it’s a deeply impactful and insightful experience.” Louise
