Kate Stanton

Kate initially trained as a children’s nurse, and has over 30 years of experience, working in healthcare, in a variety of settings, supporting children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

Her work led her to train as a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, doing the Advanced Diploma at Ironmill, and she now works in private practice, with a particular interest in bereavement, and supporting families who experience pregnancy loss and the death of a child. Alongside her private practice, she works for two leading bereavement support charities – Sands and CBUK, facilitating bereavement support training for a wide range of professionals working with bereaved families.

When she is not working, Kate will be found outside, trying to garden, running or walking her dog, Willow.

Qualifications: Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling – MBACP. Postgraduate Certificate in Practice Teacher in Health and Social Care – with Distinction
