NCS Quality Checked Certificate - Certificate in Counselling

Certificate in Counselling achieves ‘Quality Checked’ status with the National Counselling Society (NCS)

Iron Mill College is delighted to announce that its popular, part-time Certificate in Counselling course has successfully achieved ‘Quality Checked’ status with the National Counselling Society (NCS). The 12 day entry level course, which offers students the chance to enrich their personal development or take a 1st step towards a career in counselling, is available to study in Exeter and Poole.

The ‘Quality Checked’ status, confirmed following a recent visit to Iron Mill College by representatives of the NCS, means that the Certificate in Counselling is recognised as meeting standards set for short foundation courses, by the not-for-profit organisation.

‘Quality Checked’ status for the Certificate in Counselling, also confirms that Iron Mill College is committed to abide by the NCS’s Code of Ethics and Complaints Procedure. Students and graduates of the course can now benefit from direct entry to NCS membership and will not have to pay a joining fee, with their membership rate remaining the same throughout their membership term. There are also no extra fees for upgrading membership status as members progress throughout their career.

Iron Mill College’s Executive Marketing Officer, Mike Matuszczyk, said: “We are thrilled that our Certificate in Counselling has successfully achieved ‘Quality Checked status’ with the National Counselling Society. This is just the latest confirmation of Iron Mill College’s commitment to providing our students with the very best learning experience and quality-assured training. We are really happy to be working with the NCS and look forward to building a long and successful relationship with the Society in the coming months and years.”

As stated on the NCS website, with regards to training, the Society’s “primary role is the advancement of counselling and a part of this role is the support and encouragement of all our training providers.

The NCS believe that “achieving recognition of your courses is essential, as it gives confirmation of your professional standing to both your peers and your students and gives your organisation a voice in the future of our profession.”
