A Sense of Home and Connection - CPD Workshop A Sense of Home and Connection

Join us for this one day CPD workshop in Whitstable.

Attachment to home can affect the way we think, our behaviour, our sense of self, our selfcare and physical health, emotional well-being and illness in aging.

Changes, voluntary or involuntary, can disrupt this attachment.

But some of us grow up without it, so how does that affect our development and how we learn to interact with the world and people around us?

Course Details

This CPD will look at:

  • The meaning of Home
  • What difference a settled upbringing makes to our sense of self and identity
  • What impact can this have on our physical and mental health
  • Cultural aspects of home and disconnection
  • How we can overcome an upbringing full of impermanence, fear and rootlessness
 Eligibility:

Our CPD workshops are open to anyone who is interested in the subject matter, wants to develop their skills and expand their knowledge. This workshop is particularly aimed at counsellors, psychotherapists and those in helping professions who work therapeutically with others.
