3 Iron Mill courses gain ‘Advanced Specialist Training Status' with the National Counselling Society (NCS)

The National Counselling Society (NCS) has granted 'Advanced Specialist Training Status' to 3 of Iron Mill College's Post Qualifying courses.

The NCS, which is a not-for-profit organisation, has awarded this status to the
Post Qualifying Diploma in Creative Arts TherapiesDiploma in Supervision and Post Qualifying Diploma in Eating Disorders: Brain, Body and Mind. These part-time courses for mental health and wellbeing professionals, are therefore recognised by the NCS as offering "extensive support to practitioners in developing a specialist area of work" (NCS).

Iron Mill College’s Principal Rose Bedford, said: "Achieving this recognition for 3 of our fantastic courses with the National Counselling Society is another special moment in the long history of Iron Mill College. We are fully committed to offering a very high standard of training provision and welcome opportunities for our courses scrutinised and checked by leading professional bodies like the NCS. This means that our students can be confident that our courses are of the very best quality and meet the high standards both they, and we, expect.

"Having achieved 'Quality Checked Status' with the NCS for our entry level Certificate in Counselling course last year, we are delighted to add these Post Qualifying courses to the fast-growing list of our programmes recognised and to strengthening our links with the Society further."

The 3 courses, which each last 12 days, all have intakes starting over the next few weeks, as follows:

Post Qualifying Diploma in Creative Arts Therapies: Starts 5th February in Poole (running on Mondays) and 8th February in Exeter (running on Thursdays).
