Workshop Description
“Reach high, for the stars lie hidden in your soul. Dream deep for every dream precedes the goal.”
Pamela Vaull Starr
·Would you benefit from expanding your horizons, broadening your perspectives and gaining more insights/tools when working with the ‘Bigger Picture’?
·Do you work with individuals and organizations searching for inspiration and new perspectives? People who need to think ever more creatively about the future? Or leaders who yearn to develop self-awareness and presence in order to navigate change effectively?
This CPD course is for those already working in executive or personal coaching who are interested in understanding more about psychosynthesis and working with the Transpersonal.
Over the last two decades coaching has emerged as a powerful and significant new technology for learning and change. It has become an important resource to a range of professionals as well as people at life’s crossroads.
Increasingly however, in the current climate of uncertainty and turmoil the coaching agenda is widening and coaches frequently need to be prepared to engage in deeper conversations with their clients. Are we really willing to accompany our coachees into what may feel like uncharted waters? Do we feel comfortable engage with deeper questions of aspiration, meaning and purpose? Can we meet coachees where they are –accompanying them on an unsettling journey while they question who they truly are and grapple with the dilemmas, paradoxes and challenges faced when they aspire to live, work and lead in more responsible and meaningful ways?
‘Spiritually intelligent’ or ‘transpersonal’ coaching addresses questions of meaning making and the longing to work in service of something beyond ‘business as usual’ and merely making a profit. Here spirituality is understood as our central core which longs to find deeper meaning and to live an integrated life. This is about becoming more aware of the ‘big picture’ and our place and purpose in the universe – a place from which we choose purposeful action. It is widely recognized as a particularly relevant approach to leadership coaching where the development of the whole person and expansion self awareness is crucial.
These two modules introduce psychosynthesis models and techniques within a leading edge transpersonal context - coaching in the service of creating ethical, purposeful and successful values driven enterprise – the business of the future.
Theory is grounded in psychosynthesis and draws from other contemporary models of change processes, including mindfulness practice, action research, relational and the wider field of transpersonal psychology.
