Workshop Description
Our wish for transformation and change often brings us into conflict, either with aspects of ourselves, or with other people. Conflict can be frightening, and that anxiety can lead us to a kind of paralysis, and difficulties in being able to think clearly.
How can we address the underlying needs represented by this resistance, this sense of impasse? What if we dared recognise such opposition as having equal validity to what we currently envisage as a (or the only) constructive outcome?
This exciting new workshop will explore ways of therapeutically interacting with conflict between different aspects of the self as well as between two or more people, drawing on principles of non-violent communication and community mediation.
Participants will be able to explore personal and inter-personal conflict, using experiential and creative exercises with theoretical input.
