Iron Chains LinkedIron Mill Association for Counselling (IMAC)

Would you like to meet up with other counsellors, psychotherapists, wellbeing and mental health practitioners? Do you want a safe place to discuss and consider the challenges facing your profession? Do you want to share and celebrate your work in the field? Do you want lively and informed debates that will contribute to your CPD?

The Iron Mill Association for Counselling (IMAC) is a new venture in Poole for 2017/18, which intends to provide a space for creativity, reflection and professional development for those working to promote counselling, psychotherapy, mental health and wellbeing.
IMAC is a development of the work of the Iron Mill College which is a well-established, leading provider of education and training for counsellors, founded over 35 years ago in Exeter. Now offering extensive courses in Poole, the college is introducing a forum for networking, sharing best practice and discussing the challenges and opportunities facing practitioners in a specially formed supportive community.
IMAC extends a hand of welcome to not only current and former students but other practitioners in the area. Meetings take place on Friday evenings at Iron Mill College in Poole (see 'Dates' tab below for schedule details).

If you would like more information about IMAC or if you would be interested in offering a topic for discussion or short presentation, please get in touch with Marilyn McGowan, by email at marilyn.mcgowan@ironmill.co.uk or by telephone via 01202 743804.

What our Students Say

"I have never been in such a creative, free, wonderful environment to learn. The mix of students is just buzzing. I have felt it such a privilege to have been allowed to be present.

Our tutor was such a delight....and I hope she continues teaching in her wonderfully human, but knowledgeable way."
A. Davey - Diploma in Supervision Graduate
