Introduction to Ecotherapy: Counselling with Nature in Mind

This 2 day (weekend) workshop, available in Exeter and Poole, offers an introduction to a variety of techniques for connecting with the natural world in order to enhance wellbeing.

  • Exposure to natural environments has been proven to enhance health and wellbeing, yet traditional counselling training rarely explores the client’s relationship with the natural world. Connecting with the natural world can be particularly powerful for clients who struggle with intimacy, or feel disconnected and alienated from the world around them.
  • This introductory workshop will equip participants with skills and techniques to assess clients’ experience of nature and its psychological impact, and to facilitate a meaningful connection with the natural world.
  • A highly experiential weekend -  participants will be encouraged to utilise exercises to explore their own relationship with the natural world.
