Autism is a hidden disability that can affect children and adults in a variety of ways.

Unexpected changes, understanding and relating to other people, and taking part in everyday family, school, work and social life can be difficult. Some autistic people say the world feels overwhelming and they always feel anxious and different.

It can be difficult to find support for children who have autism. Some parents of autistic children say that other people simply think their child is naughty and it can be difficult to access the proper support.

Practitioners who work with autistic clients may need to adapt their approach and understand more about how it feels to be autistic.

  • A 1 day conference for anyone who would like to know more about Autism from the experiences of those who have made the journey into new understanding and insights. Held at Iron Mill College in Poole.
  • Lunch and refreshments are provided, as well as a certificate for 6 hours of CPD for attendees.
